EC Backward Curved Blowers

EC motors are notable for their economical use of energy and ease of control. Our EC Backward Curved Blowers are driven by energy-saving motors with electronic commutation control, to keep them running within their optimal operating range.

Compared to traditional AC motors they consume far less energy and, unlike AC motors, can be speed controlled to match system airflow demand, and operate at high efficiency levels. For the same air volume, EC Blowers consume a fraction of the energy of an AC Blower.

Another special feature of EC motors is their energy-saving potential at part-load. When operating at part-load, the loss of efficiency is very much lower than that of an asynchronous motor of equivalent output. This can also be translated into improved noise levels, which is particularly beneficial in control cabinets, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
